Diane Kunzler

Diane Kunzler is a painter whose interest in nature is longstanding, likely the result of living in Iowa’s expansive rural landscape most of her life. Her paintings reflect careful observation of her surroundings as well as more abstracted and imagined places. The work is calming and contemplative offering a contrast to the more complex and chaotic aspects of contemporary life.

Diane’s professional work has been a balance between arts education and a rigorous artistic practice. She received her undergraduate degree from Graceland University and her MFA from the Art Institute of Boston. Diane has a painting studio in the Mainframe building in Des Moines, IA and works out of her family’s ceramic studio, Kunzler Studios, in West Des Moines, IA.
