Josh Hall

Josh Hall is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Iowa whose work blends vibrant color, playful imagery, nostalgia, and raw expressive mark-making. Working primarily with acrylic paint, spray paint, airbrush, stencils, and acrylic markers, Hall creates energetic paintings that draw from the visual language of pop culture, graffiti, punk, and contemporary expressionism.

Hall’s work explores the ways ordinary objects, memories, and experiences can become symbols of connection and belonging. Familiar imagery—such as rubber ducks, animals, music, nature, and elements of everyday life—is transformed into imaginative worlds where humor and vulnerability exist side by side.
