Judith Eastburn

Judith’s earliest experience with photography involved pictures taken with a box camera and printed at the drugstore. She attended The University of Iowa and earned a BA degree in Zoology, then a MS in Microbiology. In addition to science courses, she began taking photography classes in the Art Department, earned an MFA in photography and embarked on a lifelong fascination with seeing through her camera and printing in the darkroom. Her subjects include trees, rocks, unusual landscapes and grain elevators.

She is now retired and enjoying the time to travel and work in the darkroom. She currently uses a medium format camera and works exclusively with black and white film, developing and printing in her darkroom.
