I was once told in the midst of a creative struggle that inspiration is everywhere. This prompted me to step away from paint brushes and work with pallet knives. The change opened up a new world of depth and texture I hadn't explored. I'll seek out a balance in color, shape and lines. Reworking the canvas into the right moment. In those bursts, when everything seems to flow, the paints seem to have minds of their own and guide me.

When the act of creation seems like a direct connection to a deep emotional well, when the knives see to be the ones in control, that's when I am happiest in my work.
