Mark True

Mark True’s artistic journey began with acrylic painting and then assemblages of found objects. Today, he works primarily in photography, documenting found objects in compositions that he presents as gallery-wrapped canvases.

His images of Iowa places, people, and institutions have been featured in multiple solo exhibitions in the state. His other work has been juried into group exhibitions across Iowa and the Midwest. He has also collaborated with an author on a unique exhibit pairing his images with short stories.
