About our Event Management Team

Interested in taking your volunteer efforts to the next level? The Des Moines Arts Festival Event Management Team (EMT) may be the place for you!
Our EMT is currently made up of 56 volunteers who work closely with Festival staff leading up to the Festival and then manages specific areas on-site including load in, load out, volunteers, troubleshooting, etc. Essentially, the EMT is the eyes and ears of the Festival ensuring everything runs smoothly and our guests and participants are having their best experience. Monthly meetings start March 2023.

  • Artist Relations

  • Food Vendor Relations

  • Interrobang Film Festival

  • IT/Technical/POS Support

  • Merchandise Sales

  • On-Site Office Management

  • Festival Production

  • Sponsor Relations

  • Stage Management (Front of House & Back of House)

  • Student Art Exhibition

  • Sustainability

  • Volunteer Relations
